Lately I have been hearing so much talk about platonic best friends. It’s kind of crazy but we all have them. Some are for different reasons. Mine just  happen to be girl friends that if something were to ever happen and it went sour they most likely wouldn’t ever talk to me again. For most men this is the only barrier. Fear of either a losing them or b rejection.

Rejection is a part of life. Who cares? But when it comes to people you have grown to care about and there’s a slight chance you could lose them forever over one physical mishap most sane men wouldn’t even risk it.

My platonic best friends are all insane, and I mean that with utmost respect. For the most part if a guy does something wrong they just won’t talk to that guy again, ever. But at the same time if they do something wrong they always justify it as “not their fault”. Crazy!

Most guys will just be like fuck her and on to the next. You can’t do that with this person because you actually care if you talk to them.

Here lies the predicament. Now that everyone is growing up and slowly but surely losing touch with platonic best friends they ask themselves the question “well since we barely talk anymore why not risk it?” Very good question…

I would say risk it when you’re drunk so you have the excuse that both of you were drunk the next morning if the opposing party is freaked out. You only live once so fuck it. If it were high school I would say no just because you have to see each other on a regular basis.

I suppose that is all for now. I would love to know how you would handle the situation.
